Asst. Prof. Dr. Emin Taner Elmas is a Turkish mechanical engineer, academic, and industrial leader born in Sivas in 1974. He earned his undergraduate degree with honors from Hacettepe University, followed by an M.Sc. from Dokuz Eylül University and a Ph.D. from Ege University in thermodynamics. With nearly three decades of combined academic and industrial experience, he currently serves at Igdir University as Department Head of Motor Vehicles and Transportation Technologies, while holding assistant professorships in Automotive Technology and Bioengineering & BioSciences. His technical expertise spans thermodynamics, energy efficiency, space sciences, and industrial machinery, alongside serving as a referee for organizations like ASME, TUBITAK, and NASA. By 2026, he was honored with the Nobel Scientist Award by Scientific Laurels. Beyond engineering, Dr. Elmas served as a NATO Officer and interpreter in Bosnia and Herzegovina, receiving two NATO Medals. He is also a accomplished musician, virtuoso saz and ney performer, poet, and author. His artistic endeavors include composing tribute songs for his family, managing a YouTube music channel, and publishing several books on musical theory, poetry, and the anthropology of Turkish folk music.

Luciano Lorenzi (born 16 October 1949, Ventimiglia, Italy) is an Italian physicist, astronomer, science educator, and cosmology researcher. He earned his degree in Physics in 1975 and had already begun research at the Turin Astronomical Observatory. In 1978, he obtained the professional title of Astronomer through a national selection and continued working at the Turin Observatory until 1987. From 1989 to 1992, Lorenzi coordinated the Mondovì Astronomy Study Center, promoting astronomical research, education, and public scientific communication. He subsequently served as a Senator of the Italian Republic for three consecutive legislatures (1992–2001) and was a member of the Council of Europe and the Western European Union Assembly from 1994 to 1999. He promoted Law 315/1998, which allocated 8.1 billion lire for university-building projects in Mondovì through Politecnico di Torino. He also contributed to the adoption of Council of Europe Resolution 1080 (1996) concerning the detection of potentially hazardous asteroids and comets. Lorenzi has authored around 70 scientific publications covering astronomy, variable stars, large-scale cosmic structure, cosmology, and cosmogony. His major scientific work is the Expansion Center Model (ECM), proposing an expansion center associated with the Bahcall–Soneira huge void. His 1999 formulation developed a mathematical model for expansion from this region.
